10 years ago, I was introduced to Yoga during a girls trip to The Kripaulu Institute. At the time, I was doing a lot of endurance running and thought that Yoga was a waste of time and not the calorie burn I was used to getting during workouts. But something from that experience imprinted on my heart and began to grow stronger over the next few years. I started consistently practicing Power Yoga while I was training for a marathon and while my body was getting stronger, the change in my mindset was the most profound. I began to feel limitless. Running and Yoga gave me new confidence that improved all areas of my life; my relationships with family and friends, health and future goals. I decided to go through Yoga Teacher Training to deepen my own knowledge, without the intention to teach. During the process I knew I had to move through the fear of teaching and just try. And in life, the things we do that scare us, are the things that build us. My yoga journey is a comittment to education, application and determination...with a lot of laughter along the way! I believe we have to find the Yin/Yang balance in our lives to be able to experience all that life has to offer. And to SAY YES as much as we can!In 2022 I completed my 500 hour advanced teacher training through Rebecca Sirman Yoga. The Anatomy based education focused on helping students find sustained, injury free longevity in their practice.
